The Wedding Trip

We want to take you with us; if not actually then at least kinda-sorta! This page is going to start off as an outline of our itinerary, so you can see what we’re planning on doing. Once we get over there and start doing things, this page might hopefully become more like a journal, so you can see what we’re up to!

UPDATE! Our instagram hashtag, which was surprisingly not taken, is #mrmrsmcelmon – we’ll try to take as many cool pictures as we can 🙂

If you don’t have an instagram account and are unsure how to search that, just visit this link: – there’s only one picture so far, but more soon!

The adventure begins! We’ll rest up and then explore every nook & cranny of the Royal Mile. Once we’ve seen as much of the city as possible, we’ll take the train up the east coast to explore cliff-side castles and some smaller towns.Edinburgh2

We’ll explore nearby castles and distilleries, then hop on the most picturesque train in Scotland – the Kyle Line – which will take us to the Kyle of Lochalsh, near Skye.

Loch Coruisk, Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, the Fairy Glenn, the Fairy Bridge, Dunvegan castle, standing stones, taverns, cows in the road… there’s a lot to see here, and we’re determined to see all of it!

The gateway to the Hebrides; from here we’ll explore Mull & Bute & maybe Jura. On the mainland, we’ll check out the archaeological sites at Kilmartin Glen, and visit the SeaLife center.

Completing the circuit and checking out whatever we missed the first time; Glasgow, Rothesay, Arthur’s Seat, and whatever else we happen upon.
